CDL How Tos
CDL How Tos section is intended for our students to be able to study at home what they practice. In this section we cover everything from Pre trip inspection to basic CDL backing fundamentals.
CDL How To’s: Outside Class A CDL Pre-Trip Inspection
CDL How To’s Presents: Craig Parsons who has been a CDL Examiner for over 15 years. He demonstrates how to perform a pre-trip inspection on a Class A tractor trailer, with subtitles. This allows you to see, hear, and understand what you need to inspect.
Our Instructor demonstrates how to perform a pre-trip In-Cab & Air Brake Inspection on a Class A tractor trailer, with subtitles. This allows you to see, hear, and understand what you need to inspect.
After learning the CDL Pre-Trip Inspection, the next portion of our training is basic backing maneuvers. Students learn in their second week Straight Line Backing, Angle Backing, and Offset Backing (Right & Left).
The video demonstrates on a toy truck all three maneuvers along with common errors and how to recover from them. This is an easier way to teach from a birds eye view before actually walking each student through these skills.
In this video we go over the way you will be instructed to perform each skill by a CDL examiner. First you will have a pre-trip inspection. This can be either a Full Form or various smaller sections. Next we go over each backing maneuver and the instructions to perform these as well. Finally we go over the road test and what may be required of you as well as what is need to work on. This is the ultimate CDL How To’s.
